    You might find its a urban - rural issue. Rural folks tend to be more conservative in their spending and use less credit for "toys".

    We country types are fiscal conservatives and want our money to be spent responsibly.

    The federal government needs to go on a cash basis -- if they don't have the money they don't spend it.

    It looks like a 40% reduction in spending in is order, pronto! Of course we could begin by eliminationg the Dept of Homeland Security which was just another layer of bureaucracy that does nothing. The TSA and Coast Guard had it covered.

    Speaking of ineficient departments: The Dept of Education can Dept. of energy could go - they do nothing except soak up money either.
