BROOKSVILLLE MAN BOOKED FOR SEX BATTERY OF 5-YEAR OLD

Sheriff's deputies say a Brooksville man was jailed on charged of sexual battery of a five year old girl.  28-year old William Peter Faiella Jr., of 16071 Lauderdale Street is accused of illegally touching and fondling the victim in an incident earlier this month.  The arrest came after the victim reportedly told her mother, and Faiella allegedly admitted the incident in a video interview.  The arrest report says the victim was apparently allowed to stay at the suspect's residence with permission of parents, where the incident allegedly occurred.

RIDE HOME TURNS BAD, ENDS IN RAPE ARREST


An arrest affidavit says 20-year old Johnny Eric Williams, Jr., of 6384 Cammie Street in Brooksville is in the Hernando County Jail on sexual battery charges arising from an incident earlier this month.  He was arrested Thursday night after a 17-year old girl and her boyfriend were reportedly offered a ride home from a party where both had been drinking, but the girl says Williams refused to take her home after dropping off the boyfriend.  Instead, she said Williams took her to another home and raped her in a bedroom.  A medical exam reportedly found evidence of forcible rape.  Investigators say they believe the victim was intoxicated and semi-conscious but said she did not consent to sex.  A sheriff's report indicates that two other men participated in some way, although a co-defendant was not named and a third person is listed only as a witness.

MAN ARRESTED ON HOME INVASION WARRANT


Sheriff's deputies arrested a Spring Hill man Wednesday on a warrant charging home invasion.  An arrest affidavit says Harold Anthony Walker of 6425 Covewood Drive was booked on a charge of home invasion and held on $50,000 bond.  According to the warrant, Walker an two other men entered an occupied home at 329 Crestwood Court last April 15 and stole personal property an marijuana at gunpoint from the resident.

SPRING HILL MAN TUSSLES WITH DEPUTY


A Spring Hill man was arrested Thursday and charged with resisting arrest with violence.  Deputies said 24-year old Kevin Lonnell Squair answered the door at 7383 Botanial Drive after they responded to a call of a verbal disturbance.  According to the sheriff's report. Squair began yelling profanities at the responding deputy and approached him.  When the deputy saw him clenching his fists, tensing his arms and trying to walk behind him, he allegedly ignored the deputy's command to calm down and stop.  At that point, with the man still approaching, the deputy took Squair to the ground and was able to handcuff him.  The report says the deputy suffered a minor laceration to the inside of his right elbow during the altercation.  Squair was booked at the Hernando County Jail on the resisting charge and held on $5,000 bond.
