BROOKSVILLE COUNCIL MULLS NOISY CARS, WORKERS WITH B.O.

The Brooksville City Council considers an ordinance Monday to allow seizure of noisy or double-parked cars.  Though police chief George Turner says he'll put a provision for a first warning in the ordinance, the document in the agenda package on the web doesn't seem to have that revision.  Your car could also be seized if you honk your horn for any reason other than to warn of danger.

The council also has a personnel policy on the agenda that would ban employees with BO.  The proposed new policy would require what it calls appropriate hygiene and would make it a personnel offense not to use deodorant.  The personal appearance policy also bans visible body piercing anywhere besides the ears for employees, requires most tattoos to be covered by clothing, and prohibits a visible lack of undergarments or other revealing clothes.

The meeting starts at seven Monday night at City Hall.
